EARTH LAW CENTER

Crafting a public relations strategy to defend Nature’s legal rights

PUBLIC RELATIONS | ADVOCACY

Project Highlights

  • CONDUCTED MEDIA AUDIT

Assessed national media landscape, including outlets, coverage, trends, challenges, and opportunities. Created comprehensive media insights documentation.

  • DESIGNED CONTENT STRATEGY

Developed detailed content strategy based on opportunities identified in audit. Crafted annual content calendar to begin externalizing strategy.

  • DEVELOPED PR STRATEGY

Crafted a comprehensive, 12-month public relations strategy to amplify Earth Law Center's brand reputation, including pitch lists, key messaging, and timelines.

Our current laws protect Nature largely for the benefit of people and corporations and not for Nature itself.

The Earth Law Center seeks to change this paradigm by developing a new generation of law that recognizes the interconnectedness between humans and Nature and our responsibility to protect and defend Nature.

In support of this cause, I partnered with the Center to develop a 12-month public relations strategy that not only helped elevate their brand awareness, but align content marketing efforts to industry-wide opportunities.

PROCESS

01: RESEARCH

I first conducted a comprehensive content audit, media landscape audit, peer review, and SWOT analysis. These insights formed the basis of my strategic communications recommendations.

02: CONTENT STRATEGY

I leveraged research insights to craft a 12-month content strategy, oriented around core operational and market-driven opportunities.

03: PR PLAN

Backed by this content calendar, I then developed a monthly, weekly and daily PR strategy and plan, outlining which outlets should be leveraged at which time.

04: ASSETS

And finally, I constructed a suite of assets to support PR efforts, including pitch lists and key messaging.

“Corinne provided thoughtful, practical and strategic advice on how to grow our media presence. She delivered ahead of schedule, was responsive and smart about tailoring her recommendations to a small organization like ours. “

Darlene L., Board Director

IMPACT

As a result of this strategy, the Earth Law Center secured media mentions and features in key outlets, such as NBC Miami, Treehugger Magazine, and George Washington Journal of Energy & Environmental Law.
